Health Education
Meakea views the importance of health and sanitation as a key ingredient to better the quality of life of the less fortunate. Healthy children will be able to face the challenges of the future with confidence and vigor.
Major Accomplishments
Wells construction: Meakea constructed 14 wells, serving up to 644 poor people in Takeo province.
Ceramic Water Distribution: Meakea distributed 117 water filters to 97 families and two primary schools in Takeo and Kampong Speu Provinces which benefited to over 1,000 children.
Clean Water System: Meakea constructed one clean water system in Sok An Samrong High School which benefitted to over 1,300 students and teachers.
Health and Hygiene Education: Quarterly talks on good sanitation and hygiene is conducted to students in Meakea Centre. More than students participated in this education.
Latrine Construction: Meakea constructed two toilets with four rooms in the center and a high school in Takeo. More than 1,000 students and teachers benefited from this activity.
